The Story of Bottled Water

If I was to develop a nationwide campaign to get people to drink tap water, my campaign slogan would be:

Come Back to the Tap!

The idea behind it would be that Americans have gotten away from drinking their tap water as bottled water companies have manufactured demand by seducing us with false imagery and generating fear. The focus would be to bring Americans back to their taps and have them vote/support initiatives that work to further clean up their drinking water. A secondary mission of this campaign would be to continue to shine light on the bottled water industry and expose it for assisting in the manufacturing of a problem that only they can "fix".

  1. Hi Alex,
I really like your slogan! It's pithy, concise, and gets straight to the point. I think you made a great point that exposing the plastic water bottle company's agenda and the impact on our environment can be a very powerful way to bring people back to tap water. Thanks for sharing Alex! - Christina KH

  2. Nice slogan! Very convincing :). I think your secondary vision of shining light on the bottle water industry is great! This will definitely influence the decision making process within bottle water drinkers.

I liked your slogan a great deal too! The "Ditch Disposable" part particularly caught my eye; its fun to say and easy to remember.

Thanks for sharing your realization about Fiji water - I was in the same boat as you here with finding this to be a shock. The Fiji name seems to have so much grandeur and prestige associated with it... but its really all just hype with no merit behind it.
